Social 4 September 2025

We are offering a social event on Thursday 4 September at the Kidderminster Railway Museum, with Anthony Coulls,  Senior Curator at the National Railway Museum as the guest speaker in the morning with a presentation entitled “2025. And what are we celebrating”. This will be free of charge to all members and their guests and will include a complimentary buffet. The talk and lunch is not in the actual museum but in a room alongside on the road leading to the SVR car park called The Nursery which has step-free access. We will be on hand by the entrance to the SVR Ticket Office to show you to the room.

The Guild of Railway artists will be exhibiting at the Museum so we strongly recommend paying them a visit after lunch. The SVR will also be running on the day should anyone fancy a trip to the Engine House Museum at Highley.

The schedule for the day is:

  • 11.00 Doors Open. Teas etc. available
  • 11.30. Presentation by Anthony Coulls. Senior Curator National Railway Museum entitled “2025. And what are we celebrating”
  • 12.45 Buffet Provided
  • 13.45 Invitation to view exhibition of paintings by Guild of Railway Artists. Upstairs at Museum.
