Now that the Friends’ 2023 calendar is on sale we have turned our attention to our 2024 calendar.
Following feedback about the format of the 2023 calendar, especially that the format did not allow enough space on the calendar pages for calendar entries, the 2024 calendar is a more traditional format with each month having an A4 landscape image and an A4 landscape calendar page.
The theme for 2024 is The Shakespeare Route, with a mix of historical and modern images and traction. As in the past, each month include an interesting historical snippet looking back at some event in that month. The cover of the calendar features a painting by John Austin FGRA. showing The Cornishman passing through Henley-in-Arden in the 1950s. The Friends are also pleased to offer a set of 5 postcard-sized greetings cards. Each pack has 5 mixed cards; the inside reads Best wishes and so can be used throughout the year, not just Christmas. The card images can be seen in this gallery. Each pack costs £4 + postage and can be ordered using the greetings cards order form.
All proceeds from the sale of these cards and calendars go towards the funds that are used to support specific Vintage Trains’ projects.
