The doors opened at 10.45 am with tea/coffee and biscuits being served; the AGM started promptly at 11.15 am. If travelling by train there was a train leaving Moor Street at 10.29, arriving at Tyseley at 10.34. If driving, parking was available in the T yseley Locomotive Works car park which will remained open until 11.10 am and re-opened at the end of the meeting; alternatively there is some on-street parking, free of charge on Sunday, outside the club.
Membership cards had to be shown upon entry.
The formal meeting was followed by a complimentary buffet and then a presentation from Ian Boskett on The Great Train Robbery, which lasted about 2 hours with an interval. The talk gave a detailed exposure of what happened before the robbery, during the robbery itself and its aftermath. This was a fascinating talk, and we are considering repeating this as part of a future social event.
